How to Fast Track Drowning Prevention Skills

Fast Tracking Drowning Prevention Skills

At Superfish, there are four ways that we can help your child fast track their drowning prevention skills.

Can you do more than one lesson per week?
We know that if you can do two lessons per week, it dramatically improves the rate of development.

Can you increase your child’s exposure to the water outside lesson times? Backyard pools and the surf or any other bodies of water all increase and assist a child’s exposure and the development in the water.

Can you do an intensive swim program for a week in addition to your child’s weekly lessons?
These are normally offered every school holidays and are a fantastic way to fast track development.

And finally, don’t stop formal lessons. Young children have a limited muscle memory, which impedes them remembering long term.

Lessons should be continued until you know your child is holding strong, independent skills.

Fast tracking swimming skills can mean that your child will be learning up to four times the rate of them attending one lesson per week.
